The HX40 series is available in three variants, HX40, HX40AM (Hardwired) and the HX40 RAM (Wire free Battery powered) and has been devised to provide exceptional external detection performance and small animal immunity up to a range of 12m. The dense 94 zone detection area is shared by two non-overlapping detection patterns each incorporating Optex's patented Optical system. These segregated detection areas form the bases of the products target recognition process which results in true target capture and exceptional false alarm immunity.
To assist with accurate directional set up the HX range is supplied with an optional bracket allowing free horizontal and vertical movement. Also included is an optional sun/weather visor to further protect the device in the harshest of environments. Catch performance can be set as required through the use of a selectable three position sensitivity switch and selectable pulse count adjustment. Detection area blanking plates are also supplied and can be utilized to prevent detection in any unwanted areas.
A further set up option available on the HX40/40 AM is the auxiliary input function. This makes provision for additional sensors to act as an initial trigger for the device and facilitates detection to take place only if specific events occur in a pre-determined order. Examples for this feature include directional detection or limiting the sensors activity or isolation to certain conditional events such as partial arm/low light/gate open etc.
To further protect the sensor performance Anti-Mask technology has been incorporated in the HX40 AM. Once the sensor recognizes that an attempt to mask has been made a dedicated trouble output is triggered. This can be monitored as required to alert authorities of a security breach at any time.
The HX40 RAM improves on the features found in the HX40/40AM models by including 30uA power consumption, battery saving function, low battery output and a dedicated power output terminal allowing it to be used in a variety of applications.
The three meter mounting also allows the device to be mounted away from potential causes of accidental or deliberate damage and provides greater mounting flexibility.
